Well there is much speculation as to what exactly is happening with the old golf course. Rumors abound including:
* they are just cleaning it up due to excessive complaints
* the flattened areas will be turned into a 'parking lot'
* they are putting in a road
* they are preparing the land for a development
If the first rumor is true, I for one am quite disgusted with how 'clean' it has turned out. What a mess!! I don't know who has been complaining about the space, but I thought it was a nice area to walk through (broken trees, long grass et al).
Hopefully the grass will regrow and replace the giant mud pit that it is now!!

I heard the strata company that owns it (not greenside) was being threatened by the city to mow it so often or they would be fined so that strata company decided it was just less expensive to bulldoze the whole thing so nothing grows.
