I maybe alone on this but I wish the tennis courts were maintained. Kind of an eyesore at the moment.

The Strata Council has struggled with the tennis court. I personally believe that we should be maintaining the asset because it belongs to us, however we have quotes from $5,000.00 to $50,0000.00 to repair and resurface. The first thing that has to happen is the big tree at the front has to be removed because that is what is causing the damage. We now have a permit for that but the cost just for that will be about $4,000.00 alone!

It is just a cost thing and we actually do not have one letter on file from any owner regarding fixing and repairing the tennis court. It may be a cause that some owners want to champion!

I would use the tennis courts as well! My Dad is very knowledgable with tree removal (family business for many years) and I find it hard to believe it would cost $4000.00 to remove one tree. Anyway, I would be in favor to have this area cleaned up. Thanks for reading!

This is the quoted amount regarless of what you think or have been told. The City of Surrey requires traffic control when the tree comes down which is $750.00 or so of that quote. If you have friends or family in this business, let them put forward a quote to the strata.
